Hosted by ASVC Wombourne in the Community Hall Wombourne, this show is a little gem that gets more popular every time I go.
Luckily this show is a short drive for me taking only Thirty minutes from my house. So it was a later more sombre wakening this morning.
This year I was supporting MAFVA and Jon Ham. We had been given Two tables and a really nice spot right next to the kitchen hatch. This was perfect for coffee and cake throughout the day. Thanks ladies for your sterling service you are a credit.
Once set up with Jon's small scale and my larger scale armour it was time for a wander. Spread over Three main rooms connected by corridors, clubs and traders had plenty of space to display which was nice and made for a relaxing atmosphere. Rod and Ian Knott attended with their great Car Museum which always gets my attention. This year they were joined at their side by Richard Griffiths. I was totally in awe of this chaps ability. Richard makes and sells the Lola T70 and his builds displayed in my images reflect his skill level. A real gem and certainly got my attention. Another club was Nottingham MAFVA with some great armour well done to you.
Traders appeared to do a steady trade and I bought a very nice Tamiya King Tiger "Ardennes" and some weathering powders. As we always say "Bargains".
The show has a small competition which was well attended and subscribed to. And to my delight my friends came away with some well deserved awards. Those people included Ian Knott, Terry Walton and new friend Richard Griffiths.
In conclusion it has been a very busy weekend culminating in a very nice day out at a small but well organised show. So my thanks go to the Wombourne team for your efforts.
James.
